Monte Latito Hermitage

Although it's quite far from the center, I decided to walk to the castle, so I took a path that ran upstream the "Holy Hill". The trail begins at Plaza de la Condesa Mumadona and ascends to the summit of Monte Latito. On the way, at the foot of the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança, I found a small Romanesque chapel. The entrance to the shrine was preceded by a porch, in front was a stone cross. Although I couldn't enter I could see inside: The walls were coated with a tiled plinth and the High Altar was made in the image of a crucifix.
