6 reviews of Mont Salève

Hiking overlooking Geneva and Mont Blanc

The Mont Sàleve is a mountain in the French Prealps, but close to Geneva (~ 7km) and you can go by bus from there (No. 8 to "Veyrier Douane"). The Mont is accessible on foot (it's a good workout) or by cable car that reaches 1,120m of the 1,380m height for € 10.80 return. For more info about the téléphérique see'https://www.telepheriquedusaleve.com/tarifs-2011.html.' The area is good for paragliding, hiking, climbing and cycling or just to walk around and eat with awesome views of Geneva.

It's best to go on a sunny day. If you keep going up the hill, you'll walk beside meadows with cows and little houses and you'll have a great view of the majestic Mont Blanc.
