Most Portuguese town in Portugal

Largely known as the most Portuguese town in Portugal, Monsanto is a parish of Idanha-a-Nova on the slopes of a small but steep mountain named Monsanto Cabeço (Mons Sanctus). There are big granite rocks that are often part of their homes.

Time does not pass, and at night the wind roars on the windows, looking for the spirits of the Spanish and French who fought for the place. The town has a ruined castle and is full of fantastic places to see. The town is at the top of a mountain and in summer it is amazing.
