Lots of things to see
Monóver is a wine-producing town. Some of Alicante’s best reds are produced there. The town has grown a lot in recent years and, although it has many modern buildings, you can still see plenty of the village’s past.
The clock tower built in 1734 watches over the whole town from the center. There is also the Hermitage of Santa Bárbara with its ample viewpoint, and the ruins of the Baroque-style castle and the Church of San Juan Bautista from the 18th century. Monóver also has a wide variety of restaurants and hotels which are generally good and quite inexpensive.
