Moncayo Peak

Excellent

From the town of Beratón (Soria) you go up along a path that continues until you reach the new shelter. Then you leave this path to continue on a well marked path that leads you to the nice fountain of Morroncillo until you reach the Moncayo Sanctuary. It takes about 3 hours.

Afterwards, we took the path that leads to Collado de Castilla, going up vertically until we reached the peak of Moncayo or hill of San Miguel, 2316 meters. We then walked towards the peaks of Morca and Lobera and descended through Collado del Muerto and Barranco de la Fuente del Buitre until we reached our destiny, Beratón.

It took us 6 hours and 35 minutes, at a good pace. It is an interesting activity for well trained people.
