Historic Michigan Boulevard District

1 review of Historic Michigan Boulevard District

Famous street

The Michigan Boulevard Historic District begins just south of Randolph Street and extends the entire length of Grant Park. As New York's Fifth Avenue, it is one of the most famous streets for having buildings into one of its sides (with the sole exception of the Art Institute of Chicago). In this long row of buildings facing the lake, you will find some of the most characteristic and oldest structures in the city. Although the street is no longer called Michigan Boulevard (renamed Michigan Avenue throughout its length) for the purposes of historical record it retains its old name. It is a must-visit for its landscape and cultural sights as well as its entertainment.
