A metro without a driver
Lausanne's metro is the pride of the city. And rightly so. For starters, it is very modern. Therefore, there is actually no driver. It is driven by remote control. It also has rubber tires, as they are safer for braking. There is a diagonal rise of about a meter- almost vertically (I'm exaggerating a bit) to save you from struggling to walk up the huge hills of this small town. It's funny how many times the metro stops diagonally, not up, causing a strange feeling when you waiting on the floor or platform.
