Mercado de Calaf

Cada sábado en la población barcelonesa de Calaf tiene lugar un animado mercado. Desde la Plaça dels Arbres continúa por el Raval de Sant Jaume, calle que queda cortada al tráfico. Hay puestos de ropa, vino y otros alimentos. Pero sin duda lo más llamativo son los de frutas y verduras, esos que llenan de color el mercado. Si te acercas a ellos huele a fresco, a recién cortado, tienes esa sensación de comprar algo que va de la huerta al plato. Aunque el mercado comienza temprano por la mañana dura hasta las dos de la tarde más o menos, hay tiempo para recorrerlo y ver la ciudad en una sola mañana.

Every Saturday in the town of Calaf there is a lively market. From Plaça dels Arbres continue along the Raval de Sant Jaume, a street that is cut off from traffic. There are stalls of clothes, wine and other foods. But certainly the most striking are those of fruits and vegetables, those that fill the market with color. If you approach them it smells fresh, freshly cut, you have that feeling of buying something that goes from the orchard to the plate. Although the market starts early in the morning lasts until two in the afternoon or so, there is time to walk around and see the city in a single morning.
