Mercado da Beira Rio

When you cross the river and get to Vila Nova da Gaia, everyone visits the wineries, as they are the biggest tourist attraction, and on the same side as the top wineries is the Municipal Market. Its an old style market, like those that no longer exist, with stone counters where merchandise is displayed, with plants in counters, and hens in cages that can be purchased alive or dead.
