Mercado Comunal Ticinee

El Mercado Comunal de Ticinese es uno de esos sitios en los que puedes pasear si quieres dedicar algo de tu tiempo a conocer las zonas más auténticas de la ciudad de Milán. El sitio se encuentra en un barrio a menos de dos kilómetros al sur de la famosa plaza del “Duomo”; un sitio habitado por un gran número de inmigrantes de países sudamericanos. Si entras al mercado, inmediatamente oirás español con acento boliviano, peruano o ecuatoriano. Además de que los precios (en especial hablando de frutas y vegetales) son bastante más bajos que en otros sitios más concurridos de Milán, uno de los motivos por los que recomendaría visitar el Mercado Comunal de Ticinese es el ambiente tradicional del lugar. Si bien el edificio donde se encuentra es bastante moderno, varios de los puestos en el interior te transportan mentalmente a alguna ciudad latinoamericana sin demasiado esfuerzo. Sin lugar a dudas, una cara poco conocida de la “Capital de la Moda”.

The Ticinese Community Market is one of those places where you can take a walk if you want to dedicate some of your time to discover the most authentic areas of the city of Milan. The site is located in a neighborhood less than two kilometers south of the famous "Duomo" square; a site inhabited by a large number of immigrants from South American countries. If you enter the market, you will immediately hear Spanish with a Bolivian, Peruvian or Ecuadorian accent. Besides that the prices (especially speaking of fruits and vegetables) are quite lower than in other busier places in Milan, one of the reasons why I would recommend visiting the Ticinese Communal Market is the traditional atmosphere of the place. Although the building where it is located is quite modern, several of the stalls inside transport you mentally to a Latin American city without much effort. Undoubtedly, a little known face of the "Capital of Fashion".
