Iconic Fliders Street Train Station

On a family holiday, I spotted some nice leading lines heading towards the station and along the Yarra River. It was way too crowded during the day so I waited until it quieted down a bit at night. I also like the colours.

Melbourne is a fantastic city, with incredibly diverse cultures. There is a new experience around every corner, a real breath of fresh air.

Trams

Melbourne is where you find the largest tram services in the world - here is one of them.

After spending two days at the campsite of Yackandandah, we met a French who lived on the ground of an Australian, he in turn asked the Australian if we could come, he agreed. After a few days on the ground, waiting for the work that had made it impossible for me to stay longer in the midst of sheep, wash my water froze, I HAD back to civilization! After 4 hours away and over 300km we arrived at Melbourne in the evening. Mac do a good sleep and hop in the van! After that, we were hosted by a one week contact Maxime in an American (Simone) and her husband. A shower, a real bed, real food, internet, TV, the bare minimum that changed our lives for several weeks. A small visit to Melbourne was needed! We were able to pass the Crown casino, it has long been one of the largest casinos in the world. It is huge, it is said that it is a mini Las Vegas. Still, I was surprised at the fact that this is the only city that has retained its tram, it really gives it a lot of charm and is ideal photographically with streets tuck tag, I'm not a big fan but this rest of the art that I respect. Maxime really enjoyed taking pictures of full all pretty strange places. We meet many European is very active and work in the city is easy. Despite its huge downtown, I did not fall in love with this city, it is the second largest city in Australia but my favorite is SYDNEY! I would stay here again because I think I have not been able to discover the secrets that this city is full. I still remains a fan of milkshakes Soda Rock, I board! :) Check out the rest on my blog :)

Batmania

Batmania

I really do not have enough time to see many parts of this city, but took the opportunity to climb the Skydeck, where you can see the whole city and get into a glass box to look straight down waaaaay meters. From there take the picture through a telescope kind of showing one of the stadiums that would be used for the Australia Open. I saw the beaches as I walked away from Melbourne so I could not get close enough to see its quality, but considering the amount of people there, and the "air" sports had the entire bay, sure beaches are fantastic.

Melbourne is Australia's London! City...

Melbourne é Londres da Australia! ...

Melbourne is Australia's London! City Arts! The city consists of buildings of Victorian and contemporary architecture, which extend over an orthogonal grid. The buildings are really funny and I dare say, the architects here do absolutely what they want. Melbourne beyond have been considered one of the most livable city in the world, also has "the world's largest tram network." Being the capital of sport and culture of this continent, everything goes in the center: Arts, commerce, tourism, industry and sports. In every corner of the street in an artist to play the piano, guitar or singing! The city is completely flat and has plenty of routes for cyclists only!

Cock captain's house

MELBOURNE - Second City in importance after Sydney, MM 3100. Inhabitants, is the capital of the state of Victoria. The streets are crossed by a dense network of trams, the streets are wide and well laid out, Melbourne is a city clean. Flagstaff Gardens is one of the most beautiful parts of the city, from the gardens provides a good view of the bay. We recommend a visit to Queen Victoria Market (Mercado Victoria) in the market is all. There is a rather interesting tour, the tasting tour through the various bars on the market, the single price of $ 15 Australian. The Melbourne market is very popular and is always busy. Interesting visit to Parliament, Parliament's behind Fitzray Gardens in them is the home of Captain Cook, the original house where was born the great navigator and explorer who was born in England, the question: What is? The house was exploded boat transported and rebuilt in this place.

I only spent a few days in Melbourne, I could have stayed longer! His reputation had preceded it: I was told that a more humane Sydney enjoyable and European young city full of culture,. I actually found it all when I was there. The city center is very nice, the city is dotted with green zones and is crossed by a large river which adds to the charm. To do: walk in the Kings Domain, staggered out into the bars of Brunswick street, visit the many museums, including the very interesting Melbourne Museum. Good to know: A free tram runs in the city. Oh, and if all that does not convince you, know that there is also the sea, with the St Kilda!

Australia's second largest city after...

Australia's second largest city after Sydney, Melbourne is the capital of the State of Victoria (at the southern tip of mainland Australia). Although in the sea, it does not face the ocean but rather an almost enclosed bay which protects it from storms. This is a really nice town with lots of character reminiscent of European cities, and the city center (CBD: Central Business Distric) is concentrated and lively with lots of bars and restaurants. No wonder that many French decide to emigrate!

The city of tag!

As you walk in the CBD (central Melbourne) it will not be uncommon in a small alley you fall face to face with taggers. Everywhere you will find this is more or less beautiful drawing street, even if the district Fiztroy is well known for it, if you do not have time to make a turn (which would be a shame), you tags can find everywhere!
