Cultural heritage
The walls of the Medina of Tetouan are covered with white lime, and because of this, it has been designated as a cultural heritage of humanity site by UNESCO. People also live inside, like the artisans who work in the souks and who are dedicated to different guilds such as marquetry, leather, metal, textiles, jewellery and costumes, and some who just pray in the many mosques. Access to the interior of this ancient city is through the doors that visitors and locals have passed through for centuries. Bab al Okla, Bab al Rouah, Bab Saida, Sefli Bab, Bab Enouder, Bab Sebta and other smaller entrances
