Media Luna Bungalows
There are many options for accommodation in Isla Mujeres. We found everything from the most exclusive hotel to the specially prepared youth hostels for backpackers. My choice in Isla Mujeres was to rent a bungalow. Why? Because I intended to stay on the island for more than a week, preferably while relaxing. But at the same time I wanted to have my own cooking, sunbathing, and movie-watching time. In short, this is a place to feel more at home. Although the rent may not make it seem the cheapest option around, if you share the bungalow with more people it's cheaper. You also have the possibility of saving money on food if you cook your own because the restaurants in the area aren't cheap.
The Crescent bungalows are situated very close to island's main beach, North Beach. In addition, each bungalow has a private cove where you can swim and sunbathe topless, which is banned in most of Mexico. Bungalows are very spacious and the bedrooms are air-conditioned, which is absolutely necessary there. The rooms come with a fridge, kitchen appliances and utensils, TV, hot water ... And hammocks! The owners are really nice. They're American, so you should be able to use some English to communicate with them. Swimming in the hotel's Crescent pool is fairly straightforward. In short, it's a very appropriate accommodation choice for those who are looking to spend a prolonged restful stay on the privacy of this island with crystal clear waters.
