An ancient symbol
This is found on the island of Iona, located on the Atlantic Ocean north near the Isle of Mull, off the Scottish highlands. It could be the first time that the traditional Celtic cross was associated with the Christian religion. This cross, which stands along the path near Iona Abbey, was probably built in the fifteenth century.
