Spending a day on Mbudya Island in Tanzania is almost an indescribable experience. After taking a small ferry - if you want to call it that - off the beach and settling into the pale pearl sand of the island, immediately you are approached by fisherman asking you what you would like them to catch for your lunch. Then bathe in the warm clear waters of the Indian Ocean. it is the perfect escape from the bustling and at times overwhelming city life of Dar es Salaam, any excuse is a valid one to take off to Mbudya for fresh water, sun rays and seafood.
