Bridge with a stone cross for prayers
The Bridge of Mercy is at the entrance to the town of Vivero, coming from Barquero, Vicedo and Covas. It was constructed during the Roman domination. The bridge was made up of 12 arches pointed style, except the 1st and last half-point. The present structure dates back to the year 1544. Now there are only 9 arches that because of increased traffic, became necessary to widen. It went through many years of restoration and today is considered one of the great cultural heritage sites of the village.
