El restaurante Mayflower es el sitio ideal en Getaria por muchas razones; pero es quizás sus increíbles vistas la puerto y al mar lo que le hacen muy especial. Este restaurante está situado en alto, y aunque tiene comerdor dentro lo mejor para disfrutar del buen tiempo es ocmer en su terraza, que hay una que es cubierta y otra que está al aire libre. La que está al aire libre tiene sus mesas pegadas a una muralla porlo que las vistas son preciosas. No hay nada mejor que comer con unas vistas tan buenas. La atención de lso camareros es muy buena, siempre atentos en todo momento. Es un restaurante que tien siempre mucha gente, por lo que os recomiemdo el reservar con tiempo si pensáis ir. ¿que podemos comer? Bueno piues la verdad es que puedo decir que hay de todo, pero sin duda lo mejor son sus pescados asados a la brasa. En la puerta del restaurante, a su derecha hay una especie de barbacoa, es grande, el que puedes ver como asan tus pescado. Es todo un lujo poder ver la profesionalidad y la limpieza con la que cocinan. En su carta por supuesto y al ser una zona de pesca predominan sus pescados. La sopa de marisco estámuy buena, las rabas, las almejas a la marinera, el pulpo... Sus pescados pues le rodaballo, el rape... Y los postres son caseros. Nosotros conocimos el restaurante por casualidad, ya que un domingo decidimos ir a comer por aque la zona y la verdad, el primero que nos salió buscando en internet fue la primero que llamamos. Y a pesar de haber comido en algunso otros de la misma zona, yo os recomiendo este. El precio, pues quizás un poco caro, pero también hay que tener en cuenta que los pescados son muy frescos y eso también se paga. Para los que no quieran comer pescado, hay la opción de carne, pero no os puedo decir que tal porque yo no la he comido.

El restaurante asador Mayflower, está situado a espaldas de la iglesia de San Salvador, frente al puerto. Si vais a Getaria, os recomiendo que lo visitéis pues no os arrenpentireis, ya que la relación calidad/precio es buenísima en comparación con el resto de los restaurantes con cartas a precios desorbitados. Nosotros fuimos en junio por lo que nos sentamos en la terraza en la que se estaba de maravilla contemplando el mar y toda la bahía iluminada. La especialidad de este local es el pescado a la parrilla, nosotros fuimos con la intención de tomar dorada, pero al ser bastante tarde, ya no quedaba nada y es que es un sitio bastante concurrido, optamos por una sopa de pescado y marisco que estaba deliciosa y de segundo merluza y los mejores txipirones a la plancha que he comido en toda mi vida, si os fijais en la foto comprobaréis la pinta que tienen je.Je, Lo dicho si pasáis por Getaria visitar este local, no os arrepentireis.

Ayer estuve en el restaurante May Flowers. Tengo que decir que el dueño del restaurante es muy desagradable. No me extirparon completamente el tumor, así que recibí un tratamiento a base de radioterapia. Este tratamiento me dejó como secuela una reacción a las radiaciones solares que hacen que los ojos se me pongan, literalmente, como pelotas de ping-pong. Se me enrojecen y, hasta que se me pelan, paso unos días muy molestos. Ayer era mi cumpleaños e iba a celebrarlo con mi novia, a la que le he dado un verano muy aburrido, todos los días encerrados en casa. Fuimos al citado restaurante y al pedir que nos tomasen nota para ir a comer, le comencé a pedir, de buenos modos, al señor que si podía ser que comiese en sombra y traté de explicar mis motivos. Él me interrumpió, de forma airada, que, si quería comer, tendría que ser donde me tocase. Me despedí de él, pero a mi novia le habían hablado muy bien de cómo se come ahí y decidí arriesgarme, pues había visto en la parte de la sombra mucha gente con los postres. Tuvimos suerte y nos tocó una mesa a la sombra del edificio del restaurante cerca de donde estábamos esperando. El señor, después de tenerme unos cinco minutos esperando al lado de la mesa vacía donde nos sentamos, nos dijo con tono parecido al anterior, que “no querías una mesa a la sombra, pues ahí la tenía”, que me gané el favor de una mesa cercana por la mirada y gesto cómplices que me dedicó un comensal. Por lo demás, la comida muy buena y los jóvenes camareros muy amables. Encantado de haber comido y de haber sido tratado por ellos. Un saludo

Buen servicio de brasa desde donde respetan el producto dejando que se exprese por el mismo. El servicio es atento y si bien no es el restaurante más famoso de Getaria es muy recomendable la visita, en la que con un ticket muy correcto podremos disfrutar de una buena comida bajo un servicio atento de los que agradan. Recomendable no te pierdas sus cocochas a la brasa.

Intentamos cenar en este restaurante el 17 de agosto de 2010. Llamé para reservar mesa y me dijeron que no reservaban. Cuando fuimos para preguntar su había mesa, el dueño, de muy mal humor y con malos modos, dijo que no había nada libre. Al irnos, vimos que sí que había mesa para los que estaban detrás nuestro. Suponemos que eran conocidos y que a ellos sí que les habían dejado reservar. La verdad es que quedó fatal. A nosotros nos trató con un desprecio que nos dejó totalmente sorprendidos. No lo recomiendo en absoluto. Mejor ir al Asador El Astillero, situado a pocos metros y donde recibimos un trato amable y con un pescado a la parrilla que estaba buenísimo.

Ayer celebré el cumpleaños de mi mujer en Mayflower. Estoy de acuerdo con el anterior "reportero" (el señor que sufrió una operación cerebral)... El dueño (un señor mayor calvo y con gafas) es un tipo desagradable. Trata mal a la gente que le pide mesa, trata mal a sus camareros, está continuamente bebiendo vino enfrente de todos los comensales y trata de aligerar las mesas de forma descarada. A este señor le salva la ubicación del restaurante y sus camareros... Por lo demás, un 5 peladito.
