Mateula Village

This stratospheric village is 30 mins from Jari, uphill and without flat places. Getting there is expensive because you have to travel with all your luggage up very steep paths. Jari is the first urban area in Parvati Valley within central Himachal Pradesh (India). A village with children playing in the street, with its temple beside the square, carpentry, laundry, the 15 or 20 houses and landscape. There are only 3 hostels for tourists ... nothing to eat or buy, but ....... That old village! I was there almost a week enjoying it, like Peter (..Heidi) touring all around.
