Spotless
The Marshes, or Junquera, of Alba are close to the road from Pontevedra to Villagarcia de Arousa, next to the River Lérez, and are a natural area of Local Interest (ENIL) whose wetland is crossed by the river Rons. It's considered the first Galician wetland with this form of protection, which only two other areas in Galicia have today, including Marshes Umia-O Grove. Alba Marshes have both recreational and leisure facilities, ideal for walking or hiking. This natural setting is completed by planted trees, including acacias, eucalyptus, cherry, as well as trails, wooden bridges, benches and lighting.
The marshes form a beautiful natural setting of about 48 hectares, with spotless waters, although it's hard to believe, that pass very close to the River Lérez, the principal river of Pontevedra.
