Jewish stone plaque
It could be the most famous street of the Jewish Quarter of Barcelona because of the Jewish inscription or stone plaque on the house at number 1 of the same street.
This inscription recalls the building of the foundation of Samuel Ha-Sardí, a place used as a hospital for the poor, a school and a reception center, among other services.
The visitor can see that below the stone plaque, there is another stone with the translation of the inscription in Hebrew. However, it was estimated the translation was incorrect and the History Museum of Barcelona put up another plaque below with a correct translation: "Pious Foundation Samuel Ha-Sardi; its light shines forever".
