All British cities that boast of their history must have a market place, and Kendal is no exception. You'll find a market here, open seven days a week from 10 to 2, right in the center of the city and just steps away from the town hall, the library, and the oldest pubs. Historically, medieval markets sold fruit, bread, honey, furs, clothes and candy ... and things are more or less the same, although obviously they are now adapted to the modern era.
