Market of Ohrid
The market is located in the center of town, behind the main mosque. It is covered, so it does not close early at noon because of the heat like many others, but at about two instead. We were surprised at the low prices at Ohrid market, compared with the markets in Madrid, where they seem to multiply the price by six! Eating a juicy watermelon, we strolled through the stalls selling dried peppers, garlic and onions. There is a lot of fruit for sale, rich and sweet, like paradise. We also bought a burek, a pastry stuffed with cheese and spinach and another made with corn meal, which we were disappointed with because it was tasteless.
