Relax while shopping
This is a weekend market that attracts mainly Dubliners. Howth is only 13 kilometres from the capital, and is a very pretty fishing port, where people like to come and shop. The stalls offer mostly biological, ecological, and healthy produce. The market has a classic part with fruits and vegetables, mainly local and seasonal, nothing is imported, and it's expensive, but so is all food in Ireland. Things are generally much more expensive than in continental Europe. Then there are more exotic places, like traditional Moroccan cakes and sweets, with some Spanish sausage and olive oils. One stall has dozens of different cheeses.
It has everything but fish, which can be found by the port. Several stalls offer food to order, like crepes and hot dogs. It's nothing special, but at least it's something. The setting is beautiful. It's the perfect place to relax while shopping.
