George's Street Arcade

Market Arcade is a covered market in the center of Dublin. You can access the market from Saint George Street, near Trinity College, on the south bank of the River Liffey. Actually, it's more of a base than a market, selling a bit of everything under its red, wrought iron roof. The glass ceiling lets in the light and it's nice, in a country where it rains quite a lot, to be warm but not locked in a mall. It is a Victorian building with real brick walls. It sells gifts, souvenirs to take home, gourmet delicacies, wines and hams. Also there is an antique section, including furniture, shirts of Irish rock groups, records etc.
