Marixa Restaurant

The Marixa Restaurant offers a spectacular menu with specialties of the area.

We decided to try different entrees: a delicious filled chard with cream, beans with Iberian ham, poached egg and foie. As a second dish we had oxtail and filled baby squid.

All the dishes were excellent and the presentation was beautiful. Moreover, the service was very good and the place is big and comfortable.

The restaurant is located in the beautiful town of Laguardia, a historical place that, along with the good food, became an unforgettable experience while we were in Álava.

One of the best dinners I’ve had in the last years. Asier made sure we had an amazing time and unbeatable dinner. I recommend it 100 %. Be sure to order the lobster salad.

It is both a restaurant and a hotel. From the outside it looks quite normal, but inside it is very cozy. It has an extensive wine and food menu. The tables all have tablecloths, it is very cozy and the waiters offer great service.

The menu offers the Rioja Ysios 2005 wine, which is spectacular and well priced. Be sure to order it.
