The Inveraray Maritime Museum in situated at the docks of the village, in an old ship called the Arctic Penguin. This three-masted vessel was built in the year 1911. Inside the museum, you can see files about the city and about marine fauna and flora from the region. There is a cinema where they show films about animals or historical documentaries. Here you can also see memories of sailors, including happy ones such as love letters they wrote to their promised in the most beautiful shells that were at sea, or sad ones, about the history of the slave ships. They also devote a section to the migrants who were headed to the new world, in terrible conditions, because the owners of the land were thrown into the street to get cattle in the fields.
