Marieholm fue construido por el rey Vasa para ser sede de la representación del poder real. También fue usado como casa por el gobernante regional durante siglos. Hoy en día es un parque y edificios antiguos con un pequeño museo histórico, a orillas del lago Vanern.
Marieholm was built by King Vasa to host the representation of royal power. It was also used as a home by the regional governor for centuries. Today it is a park and old buildings with a small historical museum Vanern lakeshore.
