María Cristina Square

This is one of my favorite places in for a getaway outside of Madrid. The place is the most charming. Valverde is part of the route of black people. The village is also known by the landscape of slate roofs, and is one of the starting points to go to Despeñalagua Spouts (there one can find a waterfall with a drop of over 80 meters) and the peak of Ocejón (one of the highest peaks in Castilla-La Mancha. Leaving the square, a narrow path takes you to the lovely football field and along the way one can get to these 2 enclaves. A must-see for anyone who wants to discover the path of black people .
