Marble Rocks

The lake that's just west of Jabalpur is beautiful. It's surrounded by walls that are surely not marble, but rather limestone and something else I can not remember right now. The rock formations are worth seeing, some look like faces and others look like animals, but best of all is the depth of the lake. It's more than 500 meters deep. They tell you that and even though you know how to swim, your body starts to tremble. The price for the ride, like most things in India, you can negotiate. But don't pay more than € 3. The walk takes about an hour and someone will tell you crocodile stories on the way, as well as stories about princes and princesses that drowned and stuff like that, which incidentally, sound almost believable at that moment.
