40-floor skyscraper
The Manhattan Municipal Building is a 40-floor skyscraper that was built in 1914. It was also the first building in the city to incorporate a metro station. With its 177 meters, the building is really quite impressive. On the top there is a tower which culminates in a gilded statue called the Civic Fame. There are government offices inside the building. At the bottom, there's a central arch inspired by the Arch of Constantine in Rome, and through which you arrive to Police Plaza. This is where the police headquarters are located in New York, as well as the red steel Five in One sculpture consisting of five circles that represent the five burroughs.
