A unique experience
Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of dining in Manairó which is located right near the monument.
It’s a Michelin-starred restaurant and you can tell; once you enter, a host accompanies you to your table, and then asks if you have any food allergies while they pour glasses of champagne made especially for the restaurant.
To start, they served us warm bread with a pâté of roasted sardines and tomato, followed by a croquette of rabbit with ratatouille, and a Gorgonzola cheese pizza ball which was delicious. Then, out came foie gras ravioli with truffle foam and coffee bean oil. Amazing! Then we had “fried calamari” made out of eggs served over a mixture of potatoes and black sausage. It was a very original dish. As soon as I took a bite, I immediately thought of the eggs and potatoes in Madrid’s famous Casa Lucio. We then had beef sliders with veggies and rice with beef that was delicious. We finished it off with chocolate mousse and hazelnut ice cream.
