Puerto Maldonado is a small city in the Amazonian area of Peru. There are many tours that take you into the jungle and they're really beautiful. I went backpacking with some friends from puerto varas, Chile. It's a long journey, but worth it. I saw giant otters, caimans, macaws, loads of different kinds of monkeys, snakes, rodents, giant butterflies.. You can also eat lots of very exotic things. For people who like nature, this is an unforgettable trip! Zero technology, zero frills .. Only nature and tranquility
