Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom is one of the first of the Disney parks that opened in Orlando, over 30 years ago. Living in Miami as a child, I was lucky enough to go several times and the last time was 3 years ago when my parents invited their grandchildren to experience this great place. Although the focus is the same, many of the facilities had been updated and improved, including many new attractions. It is a must in Florida to take a trip to Disney World and visit the Magic Kingdom in particular. I cannot do it justice by describing it here so I suggest that you go online to look at the descriptions of the attractions.

Since the beginning of 2011 I spent most of the year convincing my mom that I did not want the party but that I wanted to go to Disney and she told me I could pay but the thing was that she did not think I was ready to go so far away, anyway so in August went to find halls and we spent all day doing this and my mum was shocked by the price. Until the next day when she went to find a travel agent and find out how much Disney would cost and we discussed it all weekend until Monday when she reserved the trip for me. I spent the rest of the time crossing the days off the calendar until the day we left when I got up at 7 am to go to the airport to go to the land of Mickey Mouse, my hero.

You don't need to be a child to be enchanted by the Christmas Magic Kingdom of Disney complex. I spent the evening of the 24th at the park and it was a really unique, wonderful experience. The parade of characters in Christmas outfits was beautiful, and the fireworks show at Cinderella's Castle was even more stunning (if that's possible).

One of the activities that both parents and kids enjoy is meeting one of the Disney characters and taking pictures with them. You'll be creating the memory of a lifetime! Sometimes you can find them just walking around the park, while others arrange scheduled times and you'll have to queue for a photo. There are professional photographers who will give you a card with a code so you can later view the photos online. A good option if you forget your camera or ran out of batteries!

Christmas time is always a special time of year for any family, but the year my family and I spent at Disney was an extra special. As close as my family and I are the magic of Disney some how brought us closer. I can't be certain if it was the beautiful lights and decorations, or maybe it was the way the brought traditional and classic Christmas to life. Whatever it was, my family and I were constantly reminded what Christmas means to us.

I went on my grad trip to Florida and I got the amazing chance of spending New Years Eve in Disney Land.
