Magazzini del Sale

I magazzini del Sale di Cervia sono delle strutture abbastanza imponenti costruite nel centro storico di Cervia sulle rive del Porto Canale. Costruiti verso la fine del 1600 questi manufatti, che si possono considerare tutti gli effetti opere di archeologia industriale, sono oggi il centro di mostre e spettacoli a attività didattiche. I magazzini vennero costruiti per raccogliere e conservare il sale proveniente dalle vicine saline che costituivano la risorsa maggiore di lavoro e ricchezza per la città di Cervia. A fianco dei Magazzini si trova l'imponente [poi=3630387]Torre San Michele[/poi] che venne costruita per proteggere il prezioso sale dalle razzie di Turchi e Saraceni provenienti dal mare. I magazzini sono stati ristrutturati nel corso degli anni per essere riutilizzati a beneficio della popolazione. Purtroppo il magazzino lato Milano Marittima, al cui fianco si trova una darsena, dopo gli interventi di ristrutturazione non è mai stato utilizzato. Benché ben conservato all'esterno e di sicuro impatto visivo, al suo interno sta andando in malora con grande rammarico della cittadinanza che preferirebbe vederlo utilizzato come spazio ricettivo. Diversa sorte per il Magazzino lato Cervia che invece è diventata una struttura importante per la città. Al suo interno si trova il Museo della Civiltà Salinara MUSA e nei locali adiacenti vengono continuamente ospitate esposizioni d'arte e altri eventi spesso molto interessanti. Una visita ai Magazzini del Sale è consigliata. Una volta qui è facile anche informarsi sulle varie manifestazioni in programma che possono essere un interessante diversivo durante il soggiorno in riviera.

Warehouses Cervia's Salt are quite impressive structures built in the historic center of Cervia on the shores of the harbor. Built towards the end of 1600 these artifacts, which can be considered fledged works of industrial archeology, are now the center of exhibitions and performances in teaching activities. The warehouses were built to collect and store the salt from the nearby salt marshes that constituted the major source of jobs and wealth for the city of Cervia. Alongside the warehouse is the impressive St. Michael Tower that was built to protect the precious salt from raids of Turks and Saracens from the sea. The warehouses have been renovated over the years to be re-used for the benefit of the population. Unfortunately the stock side Milano Marittima, at whose side is a boat dock, after the restructuring has never been used. Bench preserved outside and visual impact, the inside is going to hell with great regret citizenship would prefer to see it used as a reception area. A different fate for the warehouse side Cervia instead become an important structure for the city. Inside is the Museum of Civilisation Salinara MUSA and in adjacent rooms are continuously hosted art exhibitions and other events often very interesting. A visit to the salt warehouses recommended.
