Madraza de Moukhammed Amin Khan (Madrassah Mukhammad Alikhan)

The Amin Khan Madrasa or Madrassah Moukhammed Mukhammad Alikhan is in the historic and artistic center of the city of Khiva. The famous tower Minor Kuk also currently houses the [poi = 458 431] Hotel Orient Star Khiva [/ poi ] (3 stars). This Madrassa was built in the mid-nineteenth century (1851 - 1853) and in its heyday came to accommodate more than 250 students who studied and lived there at the beginning of the 20th century . A Madrasa was used to teach Islam to the young. In fact the Madrasa rooms now converted into hotel rooms were used as accommodate students of the Madrasa.
