Madesimo

This is the best ski resort I've been to. It's about an hour and a half from Milan, north of Lake Como. It's a small station with 100 kilometres of slopes, but the best part is the people who go there. The prices are high for Italy. You can eat well in every restaurant, but the 7 day package is 150 euros, plus from 55 to 115 euros per head for a hotel with half board during Christmas or New Year (per person, per night). The dinner will cost 15 to 35 euros per person, drinks included.
