See the weekend by night

The neighborhood of Mabillon, near the Odéon neighborhood, is a good place to see the weekend by night, to have drinks and maybe listen to some jazz music in the caves of Saint Germain or to dance. Among the restaurants and bars in the neighborhood, is the Frog and Princess, an English pub famous for its flavored beers (served per liter) and you can drink for free if you win the quiz night (or if you have a passport without any white page!). Cafe Mabillon is a typical Parisian "brasserie" with typical Parisian and French dishes and brunch on Sunday mornings. Léon de Bruxelles is a Belgian chain that serves mussels and chips, there's a Caribbean-style bar to take Ti Punch and Haagen Dazs for an evening with an ice cream and cappuccino.

On line 10, near Saint Michel, on the banks of the Seine, and not far from Montparnasse, Mabillon is a comfortable place to meet with people coming from everywhere, without being a completely full. Most of the buildings are old, the neighborhood is beautiful and if you move away a bit from Saint Germain there's almost no traffic noise.
