A popular attraction
The "Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway" is a funicular that connects the towns of Lynton and Lynmouth in the county of Devon in the south of the UK. Opened in 1890, it connects the two towns, which sit at the bottom and top of a steep hill. The railway has two carriages and can carry forty people. It has the distinction of being powered by water from the West Lyn River through a system of balances. Today, the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway is a popular attraction in Devon. The picturesque ascent by cable car offers a stunning panorama of the landscapes of Exmoor National Park.
