Glistening Waters Luminous Lagoon

In my opinion, this is the most incredible place in Jamaica. The Luminous Lagoon or Glistening waters as they are more frequently known there is a gap in the bioluminescent microorganisms that are inhabiting there. You have to visit at night when everything is dark, you take a boat and you soon realize that this gap offers something special, look at the water (it is 100% black) and it turns phosphorescent blue as you step out of the boat. What happens is that these microorganisms that live charge their energy during the day and become discharged when you touch them. It is truly spectacular and beautiful to go there to bathe and see that everything is black and watch as the silhouette water turns blue.
