Lower Street

Lower Street is one of the main commercial streets of downtown Dambulla. It's easy to find since the colonial blocks and streets were built perpendicular to each other. The stores are generally very small, with goods stacked to the ceiling. Among other things, there's a traditional pharmacy with all natural products. Ayurveda, the traditional medicine of India and Sri Lanka, is always the base for other products and has been used for millennia. Combined with massage on the vital points of the body, it will supposedly give patients a higher recovery rate. In the pharmacy, there is a little boy who tells you what to do with each plant, whether to chew it, make it into a cream, etc.
