A Savage and Lost Beach
I think the traveler who introduced Lossiemouth as an unusual place, was referring more to the beach and the sea entrance to the village instead of the place or the town itself. The beach is wonderful, wild and with white sand. It is a long beach full of dunes and adorned with a wild sea, but which can also be calm, sunny and even without wind, showing another charming aspect. This beach is used by locals as a recreational area (including those from Elgin, which is about 10 Km from Lossiemouth) on weekends and other holidays.
