Pink Flamingos Celestun
Welcome to an exotic, diverse and beautiful Celestun. It's been a Biosphere Reserve since 1979 and is located in the Yucatan Peninsula. The main attraction of this area is the living things and places that make it up, such as Pink Flamingos, termites and crocodiles living in places such as mangroves. Why is it home to these species? Well, it's "plain and simple". A fragile ecosystem was formed by hypersaline estuaries and shallow lagoons and high concentration of salts. Under these conditions it became perfect for a large number of other migratory birds (osprey, ducks pinto, albatrosses and blue herons).
It's best two see them between November and April. Their main predators are crocodiles. As I mentioned in previous corners, you can enjoy a motorboat ride. Those in charge of taking the boat will stop a few meters away from the flamingos so you can contemplate the full extent and beauty of them without scaring them away. A spectacle of nature at your fingertips!.
