El Golfo is a green lagoon, also known as Laguna de los Cliclos, located south of Lanzarote. It is a beautiful place, in front of the sea, and a rare example of hydrovolcanism. It is the volcanic activity that goes on near the sea. It is a small crater that has in its center the lagoon, of a beautiful green color, especially when it receives the sunlight. You can go near the lagoon and smell the sulfur, but you can’t get too close because it’s dangerous. Logically, it is forbidden to bathe inside.

The beach that surrounds it is accessible to all and you can swim there. it is a natural place, so the entrance is free.

This place leaves you breathless if you try to imagine how it was formed by nature, since it is surrounded by half a volcanic crater on one side, and by a beach of black sand on the other, and with the sea beating the rocks and various black rock islets nearby.
