1 review of Loch Fyne

the longest salt water lake

Loch Fyne is a salt water lake, but it is called a Loch because it's really thin and stretches so far in land that on the landscape it appears as a lake. It is a salt water lake, and as you can see in the various restaurants in the region, around the loch oysters and many types of fish are bred. You must try the Loch Fyne Oysters, and the lake herring. The Loch Fyne begins in the north of the island of Bute and ends 60 miles later near Inveraray. It is the longest salt water lake. It is popular to go diving there as well. As you can imagine, it is Scotland, therefore the water is cold, and although I´m not too sure about the visibility, we saw a few groups of divers who seemed very happy.
