Like the African savanna
The plains of the Orinoco is a territory west of Venezuela shared with Colombia and like the African savanna there are 6 rainy months followed by six months of drought. There are no large mammals, but there are hundreds of different types of birds, crocodiles, alligators, anacondas, piranhas, freshwater dolphins, bears, turtles, iguanas, ... and much more. It's an awesome place.
