A must see
Just an hour's drive from Munich, in southern Germany I found one of the best "quirks" of King Ludwig II of Bavaria, The Linderhof Palace. It's a small palace with clear influences from the Palace of Versailles near Paris. It's amazing to see the power, wealth and good taste of Ludwig II. There are guided visits and they are the only way to enter. You can't see it on your own. They are in English, French or German. There are also written guides in Spanish to follow more calmly. During the tour of the palace you will be told the stories and about sights of each room. You can find all the info on their official website.
Of course if you are in Munich or Bavaria area, it is a must. This and the other two palaces of Ludwig II, you will find in my reviews, The Herrenchiemsee Palace and Neuschwanstein Castle.
