Lighthouse of Cabo Raso
The lighthouse of Cabo Raso, installed at Fort S. Brás, was approved by the Lighthouse Committee (April 1885) - a 15 meter tower with housing that could emit a white flash every minute. Due to budgetary problems an old Olhão optical device was finally installed, it was mounted on a carriage that was collected during the day, with a range 5 miles. The 13 meter iron tower was finally built in 1915, the focal plane was 23 meters. In 1922 a new optical device was installed, its characteristic red light was fixed to 2 flashes every 10 seconds.
