This is the city of the key. The two branches of the Oude Rijn gather in the city center. Like most Dutch cities it is crossed by canals. It features Aalmarkt and fishmarket streets, as well as a varied market, with stalls selling good cheeses, pastries and breads, as well as clothing and other items. It also has some nice bars and breweries, and nearby there are large stuffed potatoes which can be eaten a thoughsan ways. A good place to stop for lunch is near Wolsteeg street in a narrow pedestrian street mall. Keep in mind when traveling to Holland that Visa, master card, and American Express can't really be used.
