L´Étoile Square
In Paris you find the Charles de Gaulle airport as well as the Place Charles de Gaulle. But the Parisians do not use these names calling the the one Roissy, the name of the town that had to endure a plane overhead every minute for the past 30 years. The Place de l'Étoile, is the large square above the Champs Elysées, which has at its center the proud Arc de Triomphe, built by Napoleon I and below which lies the unknown soldier, reminding us all that gave their lives to defend France during the wars. Hence comes the parade of July 14, national holiday, the November 11 and May 8, days of signing of the peace of the last two world wars.
