History at every corner

Excellent

You can't turn a corner around here without tripping over a majestic or beautiful palace. This town has belonged to the Romans, Normans, Swabians, and Anvegins, but it was in the Aragonese period when it truly thrived, filling up with stately buildings like the Basilica of Santa Cruz, Government Palace, the cathedral etc. The huge castle is worth visiting, as is the Roman ampitheatre.
